GMC Terrain speaker upgrade

The Terrain is an easy daily driver, and new door speakers make it sound better fast. Terrains from 2010 to 2017 take 6.5 to 6.75-inch speakers in the front and rear doors, and 2018 to 2024 models move to 6x9s in the front doors with 6.5 to 6.75-inch rear doors; the center dash and the newest years still need a check at the shop. We have verified sizes for 6 of 7 year ranges or trims in our table; anything not verified says "Confirm fit at the shop".

If the new speaker is a different size or deeper than the factory one, it can need an adapter bracket. We check with your car in front of us before we start.

What size speakers fit the GMC Terrain?

It depends on the year. Some we have verified: 2023–2024: 6x9" in the front doors, 6.5" or 6-3/4" in the rear doors; 2019–2022: 6x9" in the front doors, 6.5" or 6-3/4" in the rear doors; 2018: 6x9" in the front doors, 6.5" or 6-3/4" in the rear doors. Any other spot or year: confirm fit at the shop.

Do I need a new radio or an amp to upgrade the speakers?

Not always. New speakers can run off the factory radio. Some factory premium systems use an amp that needs an interface; we check your trim before you buy.
