Ford Fusion speaker upgrade

The Fusion is a quiet commuter, so thin factory speakers are easy to notice. The first Fusions, through 2012, use 6x8 door speakers, and 2013 to 2020 cars move to 6.5-inch speakers. We have verified sizes for 3 of 3 year ranges or trims in our table; anything not verified says "Confirm fit at the shop".

Install notes

  • 2013–2020: If you are also swapping the radio: Metra 99-5841B (2013-2020), 99-5854B (2013-2019 manual climate).
  • 2010–2012 · without factory navigation: If you are also swapping the radio: Metra 99-5821B (non factory nav; DIN or DDIN).
  • 2006–2009: If you are also swapping the radio: Metra 95-5812 (ISO DDIN); single-DIN 99-5815.

If the new speaker is a different size or deeper than the factory one, it can need an adapter bracket. We check with your car in front of us before we start.

What size speakers fit the Ford Fusion?

It depends on the year. Some we have verified: 2013–2020: 6.5" in the front doors, 3.5" in the center dash, 6.5" in the rear doors; 2010–2012 (with factory navigation): 6x8" in the front doors, 3.5" in the center dash, 6x8" in the rear doors; 2010–2012 (without factory navigation): 6x8" in the front doors, 3.5" in the center dash, 6x8" in the rear doors. Any other spot or year: confirm fit at the shop.

Do I need a new radio or an amp to upgrade the speakers?

Not always. New speakers can run off the factory radio. Some factory premium systems use an amp that needs an interface; we check your trim before you buy.
