BMW 3 Series speaker upgrade
The 3 Series speaker layout changes by generation, so the right size depends on the year. 2012-2013 sedans and 2014-2018 models take 4-inch speakers in the front and rear doors; 2020-2022 models take 3.5-inch speakers in the front doors, rear doors and center dash; the 2006 sedan and 2007-2011 models take 3.5-inch front door speakers and 4-inch rear deck speakers. 2012-2013 convertibles and wagons and the 2006 wagon take 3.5-inch front door speakers, and the 2012-2013 convertible takes 3.5-inch rear side panel speakers. The 2019 center dash is 3.5 inches; other years and spots need a check at the shop. We have verified sizes for 8 of 11 year ranges or trims in our table; anything not verified says "Confirm fit at the shop".

What size speakers fit the BMW 3 Series?
It depends on the year. Some we have verified: 2020–2022: 3.5" in the front doors, 3.5" in the center dash, 3.5" in the rear doors; 2019: 3.5" in the center dash; 2018: 4" in the front doors, 4" in the rear doors. Any other spot or year: confirm fit at the shop.
Do I need a new radio or an amp to upgrade the speakers?
Not always. New speakers can run off the factory radio. Some factory premium systems use an amp that needs an interface; we check your trim before you buy.
