On the 5 Series, the dash and rear deck are the spots we have confirmed so far. 5 Series sedans from 2011 to 2016 take 3.5-inch speakers in the center dash and the rear deck; the doors and other years need a check at the shop. It depends on the year. Some we have verified: 2011–2016: 3.5" in the center dash, 3.5" in the rear deck. Any other spot or year: confirm fit at the shop.
Do I need a new radio or an amp to upgrade the speakers?
Not always. New speakers can run off the factory radio. Some factory premium systems use an amp that needs an interface; we check your trim before you buy.
