Install notes

  • 2007–2014: If you are also swapping the radio: Metra 95-3304 double-DIN kit lists Tahoe 2007-2014.
  • 2003–2006: If you are also swapping the radio: Metra 99-2011 (single or double DIN) lists Tahoe 2003-2006.
  • 2000–2002: If you are also swapping the radio: Metra 99-3002 single-DIN lists Tahoe 1995-2002; Metra DP-3002B double-DIN for 1999-2002 GM full-size trucks/SUVs.
  • 1995–1999: If you are also swapping the radio: Metra 95-3003G double-DIN (dash modification) or 99-3002 single-DIN; both list Tahoe 1995-1999.

If the new speaker is a different size or deeper than the factory one, it can need an adapter bracket. We check with your car in front of us before we start.

What size speakers fit the Chevrolet Tahoe?

It depends on the year. Some we have verified: 2021–2026: 6x9" in the front doors, 6.5" or 6-3/4" in the rear doors; 2015–2020: 6x9" in the front doors, 6.5" or 6-3/4" in the rear doors; 2007–2014: 6.5" or 6-3/4" in the front doors, 3.5" in the center dash, 6.5" or 6-3/4" in the rear doors. Any other spot or year: confirm fit at the shop.

Do I need a new radio or an amp to upgrade the speakers?

Not always. New speakers can run off the factory radio. Some factory premium systems use an amp that needs an interface; we check your trim before you buy.
