Hand-cut on a glass board

Audio MotorSports cuts film on a glass board, then applies it. We do not cut on your glass. We do not run a plotter pattern from a year-make-model database and trim it short so it clears the gasket. That hairline of light at the edge is the plotter tell. Micro edge means the film sits to the gasket.

Tesla tint installation on curved EV glass is why this matters for Wilmington and Harbor City cars the same as a Carson walk-in. The 3, Y, S, X, and Cybertruck are not the same pattern.

Legal fronts — California 70% VLT

California 70% VLT fronts stay light. Front side windows must allow 70% of visible light. Darker rears are legal. Windshield film is its own option, and we walk that shade in the shop. Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, and Rolling Hills Estates owners still walk the shade in the shop, not from a photo. Ceramic still cuts heat on a legal front.

Tuesday through Thursday, drop your car at close (by 6 PM) and pick it up the next day. We photograph your car at check-in so you see its condition before we touch it. Text Nick to reserve an overnight spot.

How much does Tesla window tint cost?

Which window tint film is best for a Tesla?

3M Ceramic IR is the film we recommend for Teslas. It is a 3M shop, and the large glass area on a Tesla is where the heat comes in. Ceramic film is non-metal, so it does not affect GPS, phone signal or the cameras. The film is hand-cut on a glass board.

Where can I get Tesla window tint near Carson, Torrance or Long Beach?

Audio MotorSports is at 22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A in Carson, right off the 110 freeway with easy access from the 405 and 710. Drivers come from Torrance, Long Beach, the South Bay, Los Angeles and Orange County. Open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, closed Sunday.

Can I wait while my Tesla is tinted?

Yes. You can wait inside, where there is seating, a TV with Netflix, free Wi-Fi, a restroom and a water fountain, with a mall, restaurants and a Starbucks within walking distance. You can also drop the car off and come back. We confirm the finish time when you book.

Which Tesla models do you tint?

We tint Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model Y L, Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck. Film is hand-cut on a glass board, then applied to your car. Every other car is tinted on the same glass board; see our Window Tint page. This page is Tesla glass only.

Does ceramic tint affect GPS or phone signal?

No. Ceramic film is non-metal, so it does not affect GPS or phone signal. Tesla owners pick ceramic over a dyed metal film for that reason. We do not invent a range percentage for cameras.

How long does a Model Y take?

A Model Y doors-and-back install is usually two to three hours when the film is in stock and the glass is clean. Book a 10:00 AM or 12:00 PM slot, Monday through Saturday.

Do you tint windshields?

Yes. Windshield film is its own option, separate from the doors and the back glass. Front side windows stay at 70% VLT under California law, and we keep fronts there. Darker rear glass is legal, and we walk the shade with you in the shop.

Do you offer a payment plan?

Yes. A Payment Plan is available. Text Nick or open the Payment Plan page and he will walk you through it. Slots stay 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. Book a slot or text Nick. Same-day is possible if you arrive at the 9:30 opening and the bay is open. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Sunday is closed.

Can I drop my car off overnight?

Yes, Tuesday through Thursday. Drop your car at close (by 6 PM) and pick it up the next day. We photograph your car at check-in so you see its condition before we touch it. Text Nick to reserve an overnight spot.
