Azusa sits where the San Gabriel River comes out of the mountains, and the light here is different from the light in the basin. Foothill heat is one part of it; the other is elevation and glare — climb the canyon road and the sun is more intense, and it comes off rock faces and off the water in a way that basin driving never produces. Foothill Boulevard itself runs east–west, so the daily commute adds low direct sun at both ends. A Tesla's large windshield takes all of those at once.

Every piece of Tesla film is hand-cut on a glass board and then applied to the glass. Nothing is cut on your car. The rear glass has speakers, defroster lines and wiring right behind it, so that area is prepped and protected before any film comes near it.
