Where does the camera mount?

The cameras here mount at the license plate, which works on most cars and trucks without drilling into the bumper. We run the cable through the vehicle to the radio in our own bay.

Can I add a camera when I get a new radio?

Yes, and it is a good time to do it, since the dash is already apart. Many CarPlay radios in our Car Stereos aisle have a camera input. The install is often the same day.
