Audio MotorSports

Car alarms and remote start, installed in our own Carson bay

Audio MotorSports has been wiring vehicle security at one address for 20+ years. Viper at the Diamond Certified dealer tier, Compustar with DroneMobile, immobilizers, GPS tracking, and dash cameras — specced on your vehicle, installed by the crew that quoted it.

In the bay

Protect the vehicle, not just alarm it

Everything below happens at 22025 S Avalon Blvd. Nothing is sent out to a second shop, and the person who quotes the job is in the building while it is being done.

Viper alarms

Diamond Certified Viper dealer. Alarms, SmartStart, and immobilizers, specced on the vehicle instead of pulled out of a catalogue. Bring the year, make, and model.

Compustar & DroneMobile

Authorized Compustar. Start, lock, unlock, and locate from the phone with no fob range limit, with Firstech anti-theft where the car needs it.

Remote start

For drivers who actually need the engine warm or the cabin cool before they get in. Some vehicles need extra modules, so we confirm the car before we book the bay.

Immobilizers & ignition kill

A starter interrupt or a Firstech module so the engine will not turn over for someone with a relay booster. The siren makes noise; this is the part that keeps the car in the driveway.

GPS tracking

Viper SmartStart GPS and DroneMobile put the car on a map from your phone. It is also the right first move on vehicles where a conventional alarm is the wrong install.

Dash cameras

Alpine, Thinkware, Momento through iDatalink, Drone XC, and Stinger. Hardwired front and rear, parking mode wired to a proper source rather than a lighter socket.

Sirens, sensors & pagers

Two-way pagers, shock and tilt sensors, glass-break, hood and trunk pins. Placed where they trigger on a real attempt, not where they are quick to reach.

Lock actuators

An alarm has to lock and unlock the car to be worth arming. Where a factory actuator has already failed, we replace it as part of the security install — it is part of the alarm job, not a service on its own.

Charger, Challenger & Wrangler

These are the cars that get targeted here. Albert does the Firstech flashes and the Compustar anti-theft. Immobilizer plus alarm, because a siren does not stop a relay.

What your car needs

The attack changes, so the countermeasure changes

Generic car alarm copy does not help a Charger owner, and it actively misleads someone driving a two-year-old Mercedes-Benz. We would rather tell you the honest version on the phone than sell you the wrong box.

Japanese, American, Korean & classics

An alarm is the right call and we install it — Viper or Compustar, siren, sensors, and a properly hidden brain. Classics get the same treatment, wired so nothing original has to be cut up.

Newer European

On a recent BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, or Volvo the electronics are too tightly integrated for a conventional siren-and-sensor alarm to go in cleanly. GPS tracking is the honest answer, and if you are genuinely worried about the car being taken, tracking plus an ignition kill. Some 80s and 90s European cars can still take a conventional alarm.

Keyless & relay attacks

A speaker in the engine bay does not care and neither does the thief. We add a starter interrupt or a Firstech anti-theft module and place it where it takes real time to find.

Trucks & big engines

Remote start ranged for how you actually use it, not for a parking-lot demo. Compustar with DroneMobile when the truck is parked further away than a fob will reach.

On the floor

Viper and Compustar, on the shelf in Carson

Viper alarms, SmartStart and SmartStart GPS modules, Compustar remote start kits, DroneMobile units, Firstech anti-theft modules, iDatalink interfaces, sensors, pagers, and dash cameras are stocked here. Two published specials, and both of them are installed prices.

Viper 3108V alarm — $269

Flat, installed. The house alarm special: siren, shock sensor, and remote, wired in our bay. Call or text us with the year, make, and model.

See the current specials

Compustar 9910 remote start — from $499

Installed, most cars. Some vehicles need extra modules to start on a factory key, so we confirm the car before we book the bay.

Two-way, GPS & anti-theft

Two-way pager systems, GPS tracking, DroneMobile, and vehicle-specific anti-theft are quoted on the car. We do not put a menu number on these, because the module list changes with the vehicle.

The Viper 3108V at $269 installed and the Compustar 9910 from $499 installed on most cars are the only published prices on this page. Everything else is quoted on the vehicle, because the same module takes a different amount of labour in a Wrangler than in a Camry. A payment plan is available — how the payment plan works.

How it runs

What the appointment actually looks like

Firstech and iDatalink flashes on a Charger, a Challenger, or a Wrangler get scheduled rather than squeezed in, because the module work is the job and the siren is the easy part. Albert handles those. Richard is remote start and alarm certified and has been in the trade since 1998.

What we run

Brands on the shelf

Two security platforms, done properly, rather than a wall of logos. These are the lines we stock and install.

Also here

Viper SmartStart and SmartStart GPS for the Directed side, DroneMobile for the Compustar side, and iDatalink interfaces so vehicle data stays intact on the cars that need a flash rather than a splice. Dash cameras come from Alpine, Thinkware, Momento, Drone XC, and Stinger — and if you want live view, GPS, and your phone in one unit, that is the Drone Exceed 4G LTE.

Shop by make

Wired for the cars LA actually drives

Pick the make and see what usually gets asked for. Then call or text with the year and the trim — on security work the trim is what decides whether the car needs a flash, an extra module, or nothing but wire.

Why this shop

One address, and it has been the same one

20+ Years

Collective shop experience across security, stereo, tint, and bagger builds — not a count of individual installers. Richard has been in the trade since 1998.

Authorized, not grey-market

Viper at the Diamond Certified dealer tier and authorized Compustar, with Firstech flashes done in-house. Security modules are wired and placed here, not bolted under a dash and sent out the door.

Payment Plan Available

Questions

What people ask before they book

Where is Audio MotorSports?

22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A, Carson, CA 90745. Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, closed Sunday. Call (310) 513-8800 or text us.

Do you do the security work yourselves?

Yes. One shop, one bay, one crew. Albert does the Firstech and Compustar flashes, and Richard is remote start and alarm certified. Nothing is subcontracted out and nothing leaves the building between the quote and the handover.

Which security brands do you carry?

Viper at the Diamond Certified dealer tier and Compustar, with DroneMobile for phone control, Firstech modules for anti-theft, and iDatalink so vehicle data stays intact. Dash cameras come from Alpine, Thinkware, Momento, Drone XC, and Stinger.

Do you publish prices?

Two, and both are on this page: the Viper 3108V alarm and the Compustar 9910 remote start, both installed, both in the specials block above. Everything else, including two-way systems, GPS tracking, dash cameras, and vehicle-specific anti-theft, is quoted on the car. Call (310) 513-8800 or text us with the year, make, and model. A payment plan is available.

Do you install alarms on newer European cars?

Generally not. On a recent BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, or Volvo the electronics are too tightly integrated for a conventional siren-and-sensor alarm to go in cleanly, so GPS tracking is the honest answer, plus an ignition kill if you are genuinely worried about the car being taken. Some 80s and 90s European cars can still take a conventional alarm. Bring the year, make, and model.

What is the difference between an immobilizer and a siren?

A siren makes noise. An immobilizer stops the engine from starting. Relay and keyless theft do not care about a speaker in the engine bay, so we spec a starter interrupt or a Firstech anti-theft module and the car does not start for someone with a booster. Sirens, shock sensors, and pagers are still useful, but they are not a substitute for an immobilizer on a Charger, Challenger, or Wrangler.

Bring us the car

Year, make, model, and what you are worried about. The Viper 3108V is $269 installed and the Compustar 9910 starts at $499 installed on most cars — the rest is quoted on your vehicle. Payment plan available.
