Viper questions
How long does a Viper install take?
Most cars are done the same day once you call to hold the slot. Push-to-start and key-start cars need different bypass parts, so we confirm the parts and the plan on the phone before you drive in.
Will a Viper fit my car?
Fit depends on the car as much as the kit. Text the year, make and model and we tell you which Viper suits it, whether it needs an interface module such as the DB3, and which harness goes with it. We confirm those parts before we book the bay.
Which Viper should I get?
Want remote start with a color screen and up to a mile of range? The 5908V. Remote start with an LCD remote and a quarter mile? The 5308V. No remote start, just an alarm? The 3308V has a two-way LCD remote that confirms alerts, and the 3108V comes with two small one-way remotes. Just want remote locks on an older car? The 2103V.
What comes with the 5908V?
The color two-way remote, which charges over USB-C, plus a one-way five-button remote for backup. The system itself covers remote start, keyless entry, starter interrupt, impact sensing, a six-tone siren and flashing parking lights. We add the bypass module and harness your car needs.
Does Viper SmartStart Pro need a service plan?
Yes. The VSM550 module uses 4G LTE and GPS, and the app, tracking and alerts run on a SmartStart Pro service plan billed by Viper. It also needs a compatible Viper alarm or remote start in the car. New activations usually start with some service included, and we tell you what is current when you call.
Is there a payment plan?
Yes. The kit and the install can both go on a payment plan. Apply online through the Payment plan page, then bring the approval to the counter and we book the bay. The provider decides approval and terms and shows them before you accept.
