Kicker has been making bass in Stillwater, Oklahoma since 1973. A loaded Kicker box has the sub already mounted in an enclosure tuned for it, so a system is the box, one amplifier and a wiring kit. The big one in the Kicker box lineup: four Solo-Baric L7R 12s loaded into a single birch plywood enclosure with a flared port. It wants a serious amplifier and open cargo space, so it suits SUVs, vans and hatchbacks where the floor is yours.

How we fit Kicker

For pickups we carry the L7T line. The shallow subs go under or behind the back seat and leave the cab open, and some of those boxes are cut for one specific truck. We install all of it in our Carson bay with our own technicians, and most jobs are done the same day once you call to hold the slot. Text the year, make and model and how loud you want it. We match the box to your cargo space and the amp to the box.

Kicker questions

How long does a Kicker box and amp install take?

A loaded box and a mono amp are usually done the same day once you call to hold the slot. The power wire runs from the battery to the amp, the signal comes from your radio, and the box is secured in the cargo area or the cab. For a quad box, a truck-specific box or a full system, we give you the pickup time when you call.

Will a Kicker box fit my car or truck?

Trunk and SUV boxes like the dual 12 L7R and CompR are sized by width, height and depth, and we compare those to your cargo space. Pickup cabs need thin boxes, and the Ford, Chevy and GMC, Ram, Tacoma and Wrangler boxes are cut for those trucks. Text the year, make and model and we confirm the fit before you drive in.

What comes with the Quad 12 L7R box?

The loaded enclosure with four 12-inch L7R subs, a mounting bracket kit, the manual and stickers. There is no amplifier or wiring in the box, so we add a mono amp rated near 2,400 watts RMS, an amp wiring kit and a solid ground when we install it.

Which Kicker box should I get?

A trunk or hatchback that wants loud bass: a dual 12 L7R, L7S or CompR box with a mono amp. A pickup with no spare room: an L7T truck box or a down-firing one. Want the amp built in: the PL7TDF powered sub. Tight under a seat: the Hideaway. Text what you drive and how loud you like it.

Do I need a separate amplifier with a loaded box?

Yes. The subs are already mounted, but a loaded box has no amplifier and needs one sized to its watts RMS rating. The powered subs, the PL7TDF and the Hideaway, have the amplifier built in. Every system still needs power wire from the battery, and we match the amp and the wiring to the box.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes. The box, the amp and the install can both go on a payment plan. Apply online through the Payment plan page, then bring the approval to the counter and we book the bay. The provider decides approval and terms and shows them before you accept.
