Momento questions
How long does a Momento dash cam install take?
Most cars are done the same day once you call to hold the slot. The front camera mounts on the windshield, the rear camera goes at the back window, and both cables run under the trim to the fuse box. A third camera adds a little time. We confirm the timing when you call.
Will a Momento dash cam fit my car?
Momento cameras mount on the windshield, so the fit question is mostly the wiring. It runs to the fuse box for parking mode, and the M7 Wi-Fi and M8 kits include an installation harness. Text the year, make and model and we tell you how the install will run before you drive in.
What comes with the M7 Wi-Fi?
The 2K front camera, the Full HD rear camera, the windshield mount with its built-in GPS antenna, a 64GB card, the installation harness, and the Momento app and desktop viewer. Impact and motion sensors are built in. We do the install and set the camera up with you.
Which Momento should I get?
The M7 Wi-Fi if you want 2K and your clips on your phone. The M7 MD-7200 is the same kind of 2K front and rear kit without the Wi-Fi. The M8 is the newer family: M8 for Full HD, M8 Pro for 2K, M8 Max for 4K at the front. Text what you drive and how you park.
What does Eco parking mode do?
Eco mode puts the camera on radar while the car is parked. It sits in standby on very little power and wakes to record when something moves or hits. It needs the camera hardwired to the fuse box, which is how we install it. Momento says Eco cuts battery draw by up to 90 percent.
Is there a payment plan?
Yes. The camera and the install can both go on a payment plan. Apply online through the Payment plan page, then bring the approval to the counter and we book the bay. The provider decides approval and terms and shows them before you accept.
