Kicker has been building car audio in Stillwater, Oklahoma since 1973, and many people know the name from subs and amplifiers. This page is the other half: speakers for the doors and the dash. The KS line is the step up, with silk-dome tweeters and, on many models, frames thin enough to sit behind factory grilles. CS adds titanium tweeters on its component sets, and DS is the simple factory replacement.

Kicker KS 51KSS365 3-way component set

A three-way component set for the doors, thin enough to use the factory speaker holes

A woofer, a midrange and a tweeter on each side, built thin so the set can use the factory speaker holes in the cars it fits. Slimline crossovers come in the box, and the set can use factory door, dash and pillar spots.

  • Three-way per door: 6.5-inch woofer, 2.75-inch midrange and 1-inch tweeter, with crossovers

Kicker bass has its own page on the Beats side of the shop, so this one is about what you hear from the doors. Every speaker here is installed in our Carson bay by our own technicians. Kicker questions

How long does a Kicker speaker install take?

A pair of door speakers is often done the same day once you call to hold the slot. A three-way set like the 51KSS365 takes longer because every door gets a midrange and a tweeter to place, and an amplifier adds bay time. We set the plan and the pickup time when you call.

Will Kicker speakers fit my car?

The 51KSS365 is made for GM, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge, plus select imports, and uses the factory holes. The Kicker door sizes run from 3.5-inch and 4x6 up to 6.5, 6.75, 6x8 and 6x9. Text the year, make and model and we tell you which size and set fits.

What comes in the 51KSS365 box?

Woofers with grilles, midrange and tweeter units, the crossovers, mounting adapters and templates, flanges and retainers for Jeep JL, GM and Chrysler, and Subaru and Toyota, tweeter rings and pods, plus screws and connectors. If your car needs a harness, we include it in the quote.

Which Kicker should I get?

A simple factory swap? A DS coaxial like the 43DSC6504 in 6.5 or the 43DSC69304 for 6x9. A smoother top end? A KS coaxial such as the 51KSC6504. Separate tweeters? The 51KSS6504 or 51KSS6704. Want the midrange too? The 51KSS365 three-way.

Do Kicker door speakers need an amplifier?

Not to get started. Kicker lists most of the KS sets from 15 W RMS up, so an amplifier is not a requirement. It does give them room to play louder, and the KEY200.4 smart amp can bi-amp the 51KSS365. Tell us what radio you have and we plan around it.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes. The speakers and the install can both go on a payment plan. Apply online through the Payment plan page, then bring the approval to the counter and we book the bay. The provider decides approval and terms and shows them before you accept.
