Drone XC is the LTE dash cam in the Compustar and DroneMobile family. It records 2K video at the front and carries its own LTE, Wi-Fi and GPS, so live view and alerts reach your phone in the DroneMobile app, the same app that runs a Compustar remote start. It works with current Compustar remote start and security systems, and you can add a rear camera or an interior infrared camera.

The camera comes with a 64GB card already inside and an installation harness. We hardwire it to the fuse box so it has steady power and the cable stays out of sight. Everything on this page is sold and installed in Carson, right off the 110. Call first to hold the slot and confirm the camera is on the shelf, and most cars are done the same day.

Drone XC questions
How long does a Drone XC install take?
Most cars are done the same day once you call to hold the slot. The camera mounts at the windshield and the harness runs to the fuse box. Adding the rear or interior camera takes more bay time because those cables run through the trim, so we confirm the plan when you call.
Will Drone XC work with my Compustar system?
Drone XC works with current Compustar remote start and security systems, and both run in the DroneMobile app. Text the year, make and model of the car and the Compustar system you have, and we confirm what your car needs before you drive in.
What comes with the Drone XC?
The 2K front camera with LTE, Wi-Fi and GPS, a 64GB microSD card already in the camera, an installation harness and a 30-day DroneMobile Premium trial that starts when you register. The rear and interior cameras are optional add-ons. We install it and register it with you.
Which Drone camera should I get?
Start with the Drone XC-LTE for a 2K front camera with live view. Add the XC-RC1 for the view behind the car, or the XC-IR1 for the cabin. The XC2 LTE is the other camera in the family. Call us and we tell you what is on the shelf.
Does the Drone XC need a DroneMobile plan?
For live view and alerts, yes, after the trial. The camera comes with a 30-day Premium trial that starts when you register it in the DroneMobile app, and the LTE features run on a DroneMobile plan once it ends. We help you register it when you pick the car up.
Is there a payment plan?
Yes. The camera and the install can both go on a payment plan. Apply online through the Payment plan page, then bring the approval to the counter and we book the bay. The provider decides approval and terms and shows them before you accept.
