AMS Pods, built and installed in Carson

- In-house install, booked in
AMS Pods are the speaker pods we build ourselves for Harley-Davidson baggers. Stock bagger audio runs out of steam at highway speed, and the pods are our answer: Richard makes each pair in our Carson bay, the same bay where the bike gets wired, in chrome or gloss black, with Hertz Neo speakers inside and fully soldered leads. They mount on the front crash bar. Road Glide, Street Glide, Road King and Softail take them; on a Road King or Softail there is no fairing, so the pods do the talking, and on a Glide the amp sits in the fairing and the pods join the system.

AMS pods, the pair
A pair of crash-bar speaker pods, built in our Carson bay for the bike you ride
Richard builds each pair in-house for the bike it is going on, with Hertz Neo speakers inside. The pods sit on the front crash bar on an angle, and at 80 mph with a full helmet you can still hear everything, loud and clear. Tell Nick the bike and the finish and he quotes the pair.

How we fit AMS Pods
Harley work is booked in at Audio MotorSports. Text Nick the year, make and model, say chrome or gloss black, and he quotes the job. Richard builds the pair to order, about three weeks, so we take the pod order first and set the install for when they are ready. We sell the pair only; the amp, lid speakers and the rest of the system are quoted on the bike, and we do not ship pods. Car stereo since 1993, the same owner since 1997, and hundreds of Harley-Davidson bikes through this bay.

AMS Pods questions
How do I book AMS pods for my Harley?
Harley bagger audio is booked in, so call or text Nick with the year, make and model and the finish you want. The pair takes about three weeks to build, so we take the pod order first and set the install day for when they are ready. You leave the bike with us and Nick tells you when it is done; a full build with an amp and lids can run up to ten business days.
Which bikes do AMS pods fit?
Road Glide, Street Glide, Road King and Softail. A Road King or Softail has no fairing, so the pods carry the front and the amp rides in the bag on a carpeted board. A Glide keeps its fairing amp and the pods add to it. We do not build for Sportster, Dyna, Indian or metric bikes. Text Nick the year and model and he tells you how the pair sits on yours.
What is in an AMS pod?
Each pod is a speaker enclosure Richard builds for the bike it is going on, with a Hertz Neo speaker inside and the leads fully soldered. The pair comes with the crash-bar bracket and screws, in chrome or gloss black. You buy the pair; the amp, lid speakers and the rest of the system are quoted on the bike by Nick, and we do not ship pods.
Why is Hertz Neo the speaker in the pod?
Hertz Neo is the motorcycle speaker we put in our pods. The magnet is small, so it fits inside the pod and a Harley bag, the cone is weatherproof, and it stays clear when the volume is up. You hear the music, not just noise. On lids and in the fairing, where a bigger driver fits, Cicada Audio is the upgrade, and both are in the shop.
Is there a payment plan for AMS pods?
Yes. The pair and the install can both go on a payment plan. Apply online through the Payment plan page, then bring the approval to the counter when you book the bike. The provider decides approval and terms and shows them before you accept.
How do the pods sit on the bike?
On an angle, on the front crash bar. They look big at first; once they are on the bike they almost disappear, and the crash bar hides them from the front. A mustache bar uses a different mount than a crash bar, so say which bar you have. Every connection is soldered, no crimps, with weatherproof-rated speakers and amplifiers made for outdoor motorcycle use, so the install holds up in rain and marine air.
