There is no single price for a 'good' system because every vehicle and every goal is different. A simple speaker upgrade in a car that already has a decent head unit costs less than a full amplified setup with a subwoofer in a truck that needs custom mounting or factory integration.
What Drives the Price
The biggest factors are:
- Vehicle year, make, and model (door size, factory wiring, presence of a factory amp)
- Whether you keep the factory radio or add Apple CarPlay / Android Auto
- Number and size of speakers
- Addition of an amplifier and/or subwoofer
- Any custom work (enclosures, wiring runs, steering-wheel control retention)
Trucks and larger SUVs often need more powerful amplifiers and larger subwoofers to fill the cabin, which raises both equipment and labor cost. Vehicles with complex factory systems require proper interfaces so you do not lose features.
